BBIX and OCX Connectivity Now Support Cisco Umbrella

BBIX Inc. and its subsidiary BBSakura Networks Inc. announced that Cisco Umbrella, provided by Cisco Systems G.K. ( Cisco) , has been added as a new connection destination for the XaaS Connection service of the cloud-based network service Open Connectivity eXchange (OCX). Cisco Umbrella is a cloud security service that enables secure internet access from anywhere.

By utilizing Cisco Umbrella’s SIG (Secure Internet Gateway), users can inspect all web traffic. This enables more advanced security measures , such as application-level communication control and detailed malware inspection . XaaS Connection enables connection from the closed OCX network to XaaS (X as a Service) without going through the internet. By connecting from OCX to Cisco Umbrella using XaaS Connection, customers can use Cisco Umbrella in a higher-quality and more secure communications environment.
