Stockmark becomes AWS Generative AI partner in Japan

Stockmark Inc., which develops its own domestic generative AI platform and provides generative AI services, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a “Strategic Collaboration Agreement” with Amazon Web Services specializing in the field of generative AI.

This marks the first time that a Japanese technology partner has signed such an agreement focused on the field of generative AI.

Based on this collaboration, the two companies will work to maximize customer value by combining AWS’s global resources with our technical capabilities in each phase of implementation support, technology development, and market formation.

Background and purpose of the strategic collaboration agreement

While many companies are considering using generative AI these days, concerns about security and governance, integration with in-house data, and the creation of specific use cases are obstacles, and in many cases, the technology remains stuck in the proof-of-concept stage or is only being applied to a portion of business processes. In the enterprise sector in particular, there is a demand for the creation of highly accurate “AI agents” specialized for each company’s business, rather than general-purpose AI. However, there is a serious shortage of human resources to promote this, and there is a strong need for support from a trusted partner.
