Rakuten Mobile, Inc. has launched “Rakuten AI for Business” , a generative AI service that supports the various business activities of corporate customers, from Wednesday, January 29, 2025. With this service, AI responds to users’ questions quickly and optimally in chat format. With excellent language understanding and task processing capabilities, Rakuten Mobile will make the most of the Rakuten Group’s AI utilization know-how to support a wide range of corporate customers’ businesses, from documentation and translation to ideation, analysis and research.
This service can be used immediately from a browser, and since there is no need to set up an environment for each company, it can be introduced easily and at low cost. It can be used for 1,100 yen (tax included) per month per license, and a one-month free trial is offered to first-time customers so that they can get an idea of how it can be used in their business before introducing it
The app also comes with a number of convenient features for business use in a secure environment. Input information is not used without permission as learning data for AI, and the “NG word registration” function allows users to register confidential company information as NG words and block them from being sent to the AI. In addition, to ensure that even customers who are new to AI can smoothly use it in their work, the app is equipped with features that allow users to use AI more effectively, such as “prompt templates” optimized for each job type based on AI use cases within the Rakuten Group, a “link with internal documents (RAG)” function that allows users to refer to correct information, and a “usage dashboard” function that visualizes employee usage status.

Using the know-how in utilizing AI that has been promoted within the Rakuten Group, the company will not only share examples of AI utilization, but also provide online training for individual companies to deepen knowledge about generative AI, and consulting options to help customers establish the system after implementation. This will enable customers who have previously found it difficult to introduce AI or who have been unsure of how to utilize it to smoothly use the service with a clear image of how it will be used.
Rakuten Mobile will begin offering this service to corporate customers from today, and will gradually add new features based on customer feedback to make the service even easier to use and more effective.
