OBC has signed a business matching agreement with Miyagin Digital Solutions Co., Ltd. to support digital transformation and management improvement for companies across Miyazaki Prefecture. The partnership brings together OBC’s back-office and core business systems with the regional network and business support capabilities of Miyagin Digital Solutions, which operates under the Miyazaki Bank Group.
The move comes at a time when many regional businesses in Japan are still struggling with the basics of digitalization. Accounting, labor management, and other core operations are increasingly becoming difficult to manage through older manual systems. But for many small and medium-sized firms, especially those outside the big cities, leaning toward DX is still not really straightforward. There is this shortage of specialized talent, plus uncertainty regarding where IT investments will actually go, and also the internal resources, they’re simply limited, so adoption keeps getting slowed.
Through this collaboration, the two companies plan to support companies mainly in Miyazaki Prefecture, by helping them digitalize back-office operations, and also strengthen their management foundation. OBC’s ‘Bugyo Cloud’ and related DX solutions will be part of that effort.

The focus is not just software implementation. The partnership seems to be mostly about boosting day to day operational productivity and also assisting regional companies to form more stable management set ups, over the longer term, you know.
Both firms also mention, that the initiative is meant for supporting the sustainable expansion of the local economy by making DX easier to reach for regional enterprises, not just the big ones.
