NEC has developed the “NEC API Service for Shinkin” to link with the internal API of the accounting system operated by the Shinkin Joint Center, a general incorporated association, and shared by over 230 Shinkin banks nationwide. The service was launched at Fukuoka Hibiki Shinkin Bank in September last year, and will be made available to Shinkin banks nationwide from this month. The internal
API of the accounting system provided by the Shinkin Joint Center allows Shinkin banks to use their own systems to make transactions with the accounting system host. With the internal API of the accounting system now open, NEC has developed a general-purpose platform required for linking with the internal API and packaged it as the “NEC API Service for Shinkin.” By providing this platform, NEC will contribute to reducing the system development costs and operational burden of Shinkin banks.
This platform provides an environment in which Shinkin Bank systems can be linked to accounting system hosts. Linking methods include CSV data and fixed-length files, and transaction logs are managed centrally to reduce the workload of log management. In addition, when changes to systems affect the various ledgers managed by the accounting system, the necessary modifications can be made on this platform, reducing development costs and shortening development times. Furthermore, we aim to provide even more convenient solutions by promoting linkage with NEC’s business solutions and, in the future, linking with other companies’ business solutions.
