The news has caused a split between the two consumer electronics manufacturers. The goal is to bring voice-driven reporting to the Synapse Pathology platform. Synapse Pathology is Fujifilm’s digital pathology PACS. It helps labs manage cases and review images more efficiently. Voicebrook’s VoiceOver PRO platform adds voice control for creating pathology reports that follow CAP standards and structured data capture. The collaboration between the two companies will enable laboratories to update their processes, reduce manual operations, and increase pathology turnaround time.
Now, with the integration, pathologists can directly go from reviewing whole-slide images to report generation. They can dictate findings, navigate slides, and complete CAP eCP protocols without touching a keyboard. This reduces the need for manual entry and keeps the focus on diagnostics. Labs can handle more cases and review them more smoothly.
The integration combines the strengths of both companies. Synapse Pathology connects with VoiceOver PRO to let users stay in one environment. You can use it with different scanners, DICOM, and proprietary formats, and choose either cloud or on-premises deployment, as well as with enterprise imaging systems. The two platforms are designed to cater to high-volume laboratories, multi-site installations, and complicated processes. They align with the vision of digital pathology as part of enterprise imaging.
