Taking steps to develop a data integration platform to accelerate the democratization of data utilization
Dai-ichi Frontier Life Insurance was established in August 2007 as a company within the Dai-ichi Life Group that specializes in the area of “asset formation and succession.” With the brand message of “Your partner for life: always with the best for you,” the company continues to develop products and services that cater to customers living in the “100-year life era,” and as of the end of March 2025, it has more than 2 million contracts in force.
Dai-ichi Frontier Life’s business strategy in the Dai-ichi Life Group’s new medium-term management plan, which began in fiscal 2024, includes “Further pursuit of CX and advanced customer-oriented business operations.” To achieve this, many measures are based on data-driven sales activities and the use of digital technology, such as improving customer convenience, strengthening agent support, completing procedures digitally, and enhancing marketing, making advanced use of data essential.

Daiichi Frontier Life had already created a database on Microsoft Azure as a data utilization platform for specific departments and introduced the data utilization service “Azure Data Factory,” which had achieved certain results. Building on these results, the company wanted to further promote advanced data utilization, so it began building a data integration platform to enable each department to use data that was distributed across the company.
