TradeWaltz Inc., which operates the commercial distribution information platform “TradeWaltz®,” and the Port and Harbor Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, which operates the port logistics information platform “Cyberport,” will begin using a new function that links the two systems from July 25th.
Efforts to improve the productivity of Japan’s overall trade procedures
In Japan, various trade platforms have been established by the private sector and the government, and digitalization is progressing for each procedure. In order to improve the productivity of Japan’s trade procedures as a whole in the future, it is necessary to attempt to link these platforms so that data re-entry between them is not required.
What you can achieve through this collaboration
Previously, when logistics companies received import/export customs clearance requests from shippers, the exchange was done via paper or email, and information such as the quantity of goods had to be re-entered into in-house systems.

The now available link function between TradeWaltz and Cyberport will allow documents required for import/export customs clearance requests, such as invoices, packing lists, and shipping instructions, to be digitally transferred from TradeWaltz to Cyberport. This means that logistics companies using Cyberport can receive requests from shippers using TradeWaltz via TradeWaltz, and carry out subsequent customs clearance procedures, etc., without having to re-enter any information.
