Sumitomo Chemical Adds Pesticide Inventory Management to Its Digital Agriculture App

Sumitomo Chemical has added a pesticide inventory management function to Pesticide Toolbox®, part of its Tsunaagu® agricultural information service. The app already provides pesticide information, dilution calculations, and field area calculations through smartphones. The new feature lets agricultural workers record pesticide receipts and shipments and view inventory lists. Paid plans bring real time inventory sharing across places and with users, plus report exports, and offline registration. This update tackles the usual trouble spots in agricultural inventory management where paper records and spreadsheet lists can end up with missing entries, inventory mismatches, and trouble sharing the same information with the team. By putting these tasks into one digital service, Sumitomo Chemical is growing its part in agricultural information infrastructure, while also helping farms run more efficiently day to day.
