MILIZE Co., Ltd. has agreed to conduct a third-party allocation of shares to SOMPO Holdings and Sumitomo Corporation, while also entering into capital and business alliances with both companies.
The partnership is aimed at accelerating MILIZE’s business development in the “Finance x AI” space. The company plans to combine its expertise in AI and big data, developed through work across the finance and insurance sectors, with the business foundations of SOMPO Holdings and Sumitomo Corporation to create new AI services for financial institutions and businesses.
The move comes as demand for AI and big data applications continues to grow across finance and insurance. Factors including Japan’s declining birthrate and aging population, changing customer needs and pressure to improve operational efficiency are driving companies to rethink their services and business processes.
Since its founding, MILIZE has focused on AI and big data services for the finance and insurance industries, supporting digital transformation and new service development for financial institutions and businesses.
Under the new alliance, the funds raised through the third-party share allocation will be used for AI product research and development, recruitment, organizational strengthening and co-creation projects with both partners.
