Infostellar Inc., a Ground Segment as a Service (GSaaS) provider for orbiting satellites, and NorthBase AB, a Finnish ground station service provider, have agreed to integrate NorthBase’s ground station antenna at 68 degrees north latitude in Finnish Lapland into Infostellar’s cloud platform, “StellarStation,” and have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The MoU will enable Infostellar and NorthBase to strategically collaborate in the sales and marketing of ground station services and flexibly share ground station assets.
At the heart of this partnership is Infostellar’s StellarStation cloud platform. StellarStation virtualizes ground station networks, allowing satellite operators to access multiple ground stations from different ground station owners through a unified interface. With a one-time configuration per mission, satellite operators can access any ground station in the Infostellar network.

The addition of NorthBase’s ground station to the Infostellar network will provide new value to StellarStation users. Located at 68 degrees north latitude, NorthBase‘s ground station site in Muonio offers S-band and X-band services with exceptional visibility to polar-orbiting satellites. The site offers GSaaS as well as antenna hosting services with advanced infrastructure and security.
