Dialog Co., Ltd. has launched a new service that utilizes operational performance data from the WMS (warehouse management system) used in logistics warehouses to provide a seamless process from work performance to productivity and profitability management, as well as calculation of the information necessary for billing.
This service is aimed at all companies involved in logistics, including 3PL operators (warehousing businesses) and companies with their own warehouse and logistics functions, and aims to connect data from logistics sites to management and billing operations.
Background to the development of W3 accounting | Structural issues common to logistics warehouses and billing operations
Issues in logistics warehouses
With the introduction of WMS, it has become commonplace for warehouses to collect data on work performance,
but there are still many cases where the collected data is not being fully utilized.
・Productivity for each work process cannot be grasped, and improvements depend on the experience and intuition of veterans
・Labor costs, material costs, delivery costs, and other costs are managed in a decentralized manner, making it difficult to see the overall picture.
・Income and expenditure are not finalized until the monthly settlement, making daily profitability a black box.

Challenges in billing operations
In billing operations, as contract terms for each shipper become increasingly complex, highly personal and burdensome operations have become the norm.
・The conditions for each shipper are complex, making it extremely time-consuming to create invoices
・The risk of “missed invoices” due to transcription and calculation errors (in some cases, the cumulative amount can reach several million yen).
・Complicated Excel files that only veteran staff can use are highly dependent on the individual.
Against this backdrop, we developed this service as a system that uses actual data from logistics sites as a starting point to manage the site, profitability, and billing in an integrated manner. This service was developed in collaboration with MonoLu Inc.
