Canon IT Solutions and Hitachi Systems have entered into a partnership agreement to offer FutureStage, an ERP system designed to support core business operations. The companies will target customers in the distribution and wholesale sectors with a one-stop approach that goes beyond system implementation to address operational and management challenges.
The partnership combines Canon IT Solutions’ system integration capabilities and experience in engaging with business operations with Hitachi Systems’ ERP platform and implementation expertise. The companies try to help organizations to boost operational efficiency a bit, and also to get a clearer picture, sort of, into how management is actually going.
FutureStage was built with Japanese business practices in mind and it has already been put into over 4,500 systems since it first launched back in 1987. This platform supports both a standard setup and custom tweaks too, by using no-code or low-code development tools. That means companies can reshape the system as their needs shift over time, without too much friction.

The ERP also supports integration with peripheral systems and services as a connected platform. Its cloud-based environment is operated with Hitachi Systems’ security infrastructure.
For companies that face evolving business requirements, this partnership kind of offers a path to blend ERP features, and some system integration along with business oriented support, pretty smoothly, you know. It also shows where the market is headed, because people increasingly want fundamental business systems that can back digital transformation, but also broader operational redesign at the same time.
