Tokyo Artisan Intelligence Inc. TAI, based in Yokohama, Kanagawa, has formed a capital and business alliance with JR Kyushu, located in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka. TAI’s leaders are Hirotaka Nakahara (CEO & CTO) and Kazumasa Okayasu (COO). JR Kyushu’s president is Yoji Furumiya. This partnership began on Friday, May 30, 2025.
This partnership focuses on creating and using AI solutions. These solutions will help solve workforce shortages. They will also reduce operational costs and enhance safety in the railway sector. TAI’s edge AI technology is effective in real-world applications. JR Kyushu has strong expertise in railway services. The two companies will work together to improve AI for managing railway infrastructure.

The main goal of this collaboration is using AI to inspect Shinkansen tracks and equipment. The initiative aims to simplify manual inspection processes.
