Datadog, Inc., a provider of AI-powered observability and security platforms, announced that SoftBank Corp. has expanded its use of the Datadog platform to support its evolving AI strategy, accelerate the development of “AGENTIC STAR,” and improve operational efficiency while maintaining service reliability. This will enable SoftBank to provide AI services that allow customers to adopt and utilize AI with greater confidence.
Since adopting Datadog, SoftBank has expanded its use of the platform. During this time, Datadog has enabled faster software development while maintaining stable operations in an increasingly complex cloud environment. In “AGENTIC STAR,” Datadog is used for infrastructure monitoring, log management, APM, Synthetic Monitoring, and Cloud Network Monitoring. By combining AI-powered development methodologies with Datadog’s integrated observability platform, SoftBank has reduced the application prototype development time for “AGENTIC STAR” from approximately 30 hours to just 30 minutes, accelerating the rapid validation of ideas and the market introduction of new AI services. Furthermore, by utilizing Datadog, SoftBank has been able to launch and operate mission-critical AI services with a small engineering team without increasing the number of operations personnel. In the future, they are also considering using Agent Observability to visualize the operation and performance of AI agents.
