Salesforce Japan, Inc. will begin offering its new platform ” Tableau Next ” in Japanese from June 15th. The new platform goes beyond traditional BI (business intelligence) to deliver AI-driven decision-making and automated insights to every site within an organization.
Tableau Next is a solution built on Salesforce’s Hyperforce platform, and is designed with two core technologies: Agentforce , an AI agent platform, and Tableau Semantics, an intelligent semantic layer. In addition, by linking with Salesforce’s data platform, Data Cloud , reliable data analysis based on unified business definitions is possible. It also comes standard with an AI agent that executes queries in natural language, detects anomalies, and suggests actions, and by combining Salesforce workflows and data visualization, it allows you to seamlessly and quickly go from gaining insights to taking action.
Tableau Next features include:
・Visualization and Actions: Tableau Next visualizations are intuitive and expressive, allowing you to visualize data. This goes beyond simply looking at data, promoting insight discovery through conversational analysis and drag-and-drop. Metrics can be freely placed on dashboards, and the system is designed with a strong awareness of connecting discovered insights to direct actions within business workflows.
Tableau Semantics: A unified, trusted semantic layer across Salesforce, integrated into Data Cloud, that gives business context and meaning to your data so you can access it in the language of your business. This layer also provides a single pane of glass for business metrics based on trusted data, providing consistent, trusted insights and the foundation for AI to accurately interpret data.
Agentforce Integration: Agentforce is an agent-based analytics platform that helps users complete tasks by providing pre-built analytics skills such as Concierge (trusted Q&A), Inspector (proactive insights) and Data Pro (data preparation and modeling assistance) to any user.
Concierge: An AI skill that derives insights from user questions through natural language interactions. When asked questions such as “Why did sales drop?” or “Which region is doing best?”, Concierge instantly analyzes relevant data and suggests root causes and future actions. It acts like a reliable analytical assistant, improving the quality and speed of decision-making.
Data Pro: An AI skill that handles data collection, preparation, and visualization. It automatically integrates multiple data sources, cleanses and pre-processes them, and provides data in a format suitable for analysis. In addition, it works with Tableau’s visualization function to instantly generate charts and graphs that meet the user’s intent, helping anyone to handle data smoothly, regardless of the analyst’s skills.
Inspector: An AI skill that monitors data in real time and detects outliers and trend changes. In addition to predefined conditions, the AI itself learns and catches signs that are “unusual.” If an abnormality occurs, it immediately issues an alert and navigates you to identifying the cause, contributing to the early detection of risks in daily work and preventing business opportunities from being overlooked.
・Internal Marketplace: A system that allows for the centralized management and sharing of analytical assets such as dashboards, data sources, and KPI templates accumulated within an organization. Users can easily search for and use the most appropriate content according to their role and purpose, and can immediately use it to make decisions. AI learns usage trends and recommends highly relevant content, preventing knowledge scattered throughout the company from being “buried” and dramatically improving the reproducibility and efficiency of work.

In addition, to help establish Tableau Next in the Japanese market, we have begun the following initiatives:
・Agent-based Analytics Blueprint : This framework has been updated to accommodate the era of agent-based analytics as a practical guideline to help foster a data-driven culture within an organization. It systematizes best practices for promoting data utilization across the company, from strategy planning, governance, skill development, and community building. Based on the track record of thousands of implementations, this framework strongly supports the advancement of cross-departmental analytics and the creation of a sustainable decision-making foundation.
・Tableau Community Slack Workspace: A Japanese channel (#community-japan) has been added to the Tableau Community Slack workspace , a global community where Tableau users from around the world can connect and learn from each other . Anyone can easily join, regardless of their level of proficiency in data skills, and take part in a variety of activities, including product questions, information exchanges, and community-led projects. By using it not only as an input but also as an output, you can gain new knowledge, connect with people, and expand your opportunities for further growth.
A powerful Salesforce partner ecosystem to help you build lasting customer relationships
As part of Salesforce, Tableau is working to accelerate the use of AI and data in the Japanese market. With this announcement, we will strengthen our collaboration with major partners in Japan to provide strong support to customers from implementation to operation. In cooperation with domestic SIers including NTT DATA Corporation, NEC Corporation (NEC), and Leave a Nest Knowledge Co., Ltd., we will promote more practical and effective data utilization by building a support system for the implementation of “Tableau Next,” developing specific use cases, and providing templates for each industry.
