Recho Inc., a voice AI platform provider, has raised 300 million yen in a Series A round of funding, with SBI Investment Co., Ltd. as the lead investor.
Since launching its service in April 2024, Recho has promoted its adoption among enterprise customers, including financial institutions, government agencies, and platform companies, demonstrating the complexity of real-world conversations and practical-level voice quality, stability, and security. Through this procurement, Recho will accelerate the generalization of the product that has been refined through this collaboration and promote the provision of its platform to more companies.
Funding Background
Completion of the zero-to-one phase and preparation for scale deployment
Recho raised 120 million yen in a J-kiss round in January 2025 (*1), and since launching its service in April 2024, it has focused on developing products that meet enterprise-grade quality standards by delivering to industry-leading companies without rushing to generalize. Through its adoption in areas that require high levels of security and reliability, such as financial institutions and government agencies, the company is further improving accuracy and delivery, and is building a scalable system. The purpose of this latest round of funding is to strengthen its organizational structure and expand its technical infrastructure in order to provide its Voice AI platform to more companies.

SBI Investment’s participation and strategic collaboration
SBI Investment, the lead investor, is already promoting AI projects within the SBI Group and has built a strategic partnership with the aim of fully deploying Voice AI in the financial industry. Utilizing the SBI Group’s deep knowledge and network in the financial industry, we will strengthen Recho’s expansion into the enterprise market.
In-house developed voice infrastructure technology and proven operational track record in the enterprise market
Due to the evolution of generative AI, the Voice Agent market has been attracting increasing attention in recent years. According to a survey by MIT Technology Review (*2), only about 5% of companies have achieved production implementation of task-specific generative AI, indicating that even in the Voice AI field, there are high technical hurdles to overcome in moving from proof-of-concept experiments to full-scale operation.
Since its founding, Recho has developed its voice technology, including text-to-speech (TTS), advanced speech recognition (ASR), and dialogue control, in-house from the ground up using an AI-native architecture. Rather than an extension of existing IVRs or chatbots, Recho’s architecture is optimized for the age of generative AI, enabling a natural conversational experience and high business adaptability. Recho’s text-to-speech (TTS) and advanced speech recognition (ASR) have achieved top-level performance in global benchmarks (*3), establishing a particular advantage in the naturalness and recognition accuracy of Japanese. Currently, Recho is being adopted by major financial institutions, government agencies, global manufacturers, and platform providers, contributing to the efficiency of call center operations and improved customer experience.
