Headwaters Co., Ltd., which handles AI solutions, has announced “SyncLect Data Intelligence,” a proprietary engine that converts tacit knowledge existing in corporate work sites into structured data that can be utilized by AI.
This engine extracts a business ontology that systematically organizes business contexts such as decision criteria, exception handling, role assignments, and prerequisites embedded in business conversations, interviews, meetings, and dialogues, as well as business roles, targets, conditions, events, and relationships. By organizing this data into knowledge assets that AI can utilize, it supports the actual deployment of AI agents into real business operations and maximizes their results.
In addition, Headwaters will begin offering vertical solutions (industry-specific solutions) for finance, manufacturing, and mobility based on this engine. By combining it with its already available proprietary “X-Tech FDE,” Headwaters will provide hands-on support from extracting tacit knowledge and organizing business contexts to optimizing and tuning solutions, accelerating the full-scale implementation of AI agents beyond proof-of-concept (PoC).

Background to providing the engine
In recent years, the automation of business processes in companies has been progressively advancing globally from “L1 to L4”. Currently in Japan, the use of AI agents at the L1 to L2 levels is mainstream, and the transition to L3 to L4, where the autonomous decision-making of AI agents affects the entire business process, is a major challenge. The biggest obstacle is that the business knowledge necessary for practical work, such as judgment criteria, exception handling, and prerequisites, remains unstructured and implicit knowledge, dependent on the minds of the business personnel and managers.
