Freeway Japan Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has introduced “Onboarding Sync-AI” provided by STANDS Co., Ltd. and has begun offering “Freeway AI Assistant” on its payroll software “Freeway Payroll Calculation.”
By providing “Freeway AI Assistant” using “Onboarding Sync-AI”, in addition to the existing chatbot function, it is now possible to provide support through an AI assistant that utilizes generative AI and RAG (Search Augmented Generation) technology, and by answering questions not only about service manuals but also about general specialized knowledge such as labor, it helps users solve problems on their own. This further promotes self-solving for users and reduces the workload of customer support.
Freeway Japan has set the goal of making small and medium-sized businesses’ IT costs virtually zero, and has aimed to become an indispensable “infrastructure for small and medium-sized businesses” for everyone. In order to reduce our customers’ IT costs and continue to be an infrastructure, we have been continuously providing products and services for free or at low prices, and have been working from an early stage to reduce operating resources. Specifically, we have been improving our manuals, introducing FAQ systems, and utilizing chatbots. As a result, “Freeway Payroll Calculation” has been used by many customers without even changing the price since its release.

Freeway Payroll’s customer support receives many questions about not only how to use and operate the software, but also about specialized labor and taxation issues. Existing FAQs and chatbots were able to handle mainly inquiries about the functions of our products. Other inquiries that required a high level of expertise could not be handled, which took time to respond to customers and increased the burden on our customer support. In particular, the year-end tax adjustment for fiscal year 2024 had system changes such as a fixed-amount tax reduction, and it was predicted that there would be a large number of inquiries from users, so there were concerns about the further burden of responding. This time, we decided to introduce Onboarding Sync-AI in order to further improve usability and improve the efficiency of operations on the management side.
