ExaWizards Inc. has resolved to establish a subsidiary, ExaForward Kyushu Inc., around August 2026. ExaForward Kyushu will take on a new business model in which engineers with both business and technical expertise, known as Forward Deployed Engineers (hereinafter referred to as FDEs), will research, develop, and implement AI agent technology and industry-specific applications based on challenges obtained at the operational sites of client companies. By establishing Fukuoka City as a base for research and development and human resource development, ExaWizards aims to contribute to the promotion of DX (Digital Transformation) for client companies in Kyushu and Western Japan, and in the future aims to build strategic partnerships and capital collaborations with leading local companies.
Background of establishment
Regional businesses are facing a serious labor shortage due to the declining birthrate, aging population, and migration to urban areas, making securing highly skilled personnel a particularly urgent management challenge. The ExaWizards Group has been providing AI products and services aimed at improving operational efficiency and addressing labor shortages to its robust customer base in Kyushu. However, with its work primarily conducted remotely from its Tokyo headquarters, challenges have become apparent in building relationships with customers and acquiring talented personnel locally.
Furthermore, AI is expected to be included as a priority area in the “Regional Future Strategy” formulated by the government in Kyushu, and policy support for promoting “AI transformation” by local governments and businesses, as well as for human resource development, is beginning to intensify.

Meanwhile, ExaWizards has adopted the “3P x Frontier” group synergy strategy to maximize the growth and synergies of the entire group. “Frontier” refers to a group of strategic subsidiaries that are highly agile and specialize in specific businesses and industries. The aim is to accelerate AI implementation by having each subsidiary deeply engage in a particular area.
Taking into account both the social challenge of labor shortages in these regions, policy trends including the Regional Future Strategy, and our group’s Frontier Strategy, we have decided to establish ExaForward Kyushu as a subsidiary to build a business model rooted in the region and to deeply engage with companies and government agencies in Kyushu and Western Japan to support AI implementation.
