Cognite has unveiled an enhanced version of its Cognite Atlas AI™ platform, aiming to accelerate the adoption of agentic AI in industrial environments. Atlas AI is a low-code framework designed to build and deploy industrial AI agents that draw on real-time data from operational technology (OT), information technology (IT), and data engineering systems. The launch, showcased at the Atlas AI Summit in Tokyo, addresses a key industry challenge highlighted by PwC research: while 79% of companies are experimenting with AI agents, only 19% have scaled them in production.
The new release introduces features that streamline the creation and deployment of AI agents, enabling organizations to operationalize AI faster and with greater reliability. Enhancements include seamless integration with Cognite applications to automate tasks like root cause analysis and performance monitoring, preconfigured templates for rapid agent creation, and industry-specific tools that tap into knowledge graphs for contextual insights. It also adds more robust security controls to ensure safe, controlled operations.
