AI agents are changing the workplace. They take on tasks by themselves, boost efficiency, and increase productivity. Microsoft is adding AI agents to its products. This helps professionals in many fields. The company’s latest innovation is an AI-powered solution tailored for sales teams.
Introducing ‘Sales Agent’ and ‘Sales Chat’
On March 5, Microsoft announced “Sales Agent,” an AI tool. It helps close deals faster by automating tasks like lead research, scheduling meetings, engaging with customers, and finalizing simple transactions. The Sales Agent uses Microsoft CRM tools, enterprise data, and insights from Microsoft 365. This helps them give useful and actionable responses.
Microsoft also introduced “Sales Chat,” an AI chat tool for sales teams. It helps them find important details from CRM systems, presentation materials, meeting notes, emails, and the web. This tool helps sales professionals save time on research. They can then focus more on selling. Users can access data through intuitive conversational prompts such as:
· “Show me a list of deals at risk of falling through.”
· “What key details should I know before meeting with this client tomorrow?”

Sales Agent and Sales Chat work well with top CRMs like Dynamics 365 and Salesforce. This helps sales teams close deals easily, without needing to directly access the CRM platform. Both tools will also connect with Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat for a cohesive user experience. Public previews of Sales Agent and Sales Chat will be available in Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat starting in May.
Microsoft AI Accelerator for Sales
Microsoft also launched the “Microsoft AI Accelerator for Sales.” This program aims to help organizations improve their sales operations. This initiative helps businesses use Copilot and AI agents. It changes sales workflows and shifts away from old CRM systems.
The Microsoft AI Accelerator for Sales provides access to Microsoft 365 Copilot, pre-configured and customizable AI agents, Dynamics 365 Sales, and fine-tuned AI models. The program includes help from Microsoft AI experts. They assist businesses in moving from old systems.
The program launches for customers on April 1. This shows Microsoft’s promise to boost AI-driven innovation in sales operations.
