JOLS Co., Ltd. has introduced a new AI-powered solution designed to deliver reliable medical information through automated conversations. The company announced the launch of its “JOLS Medical AI Chatbot Service” on Thursday, aiming to address a long-standing challenge in the healthcare sector: ensuring accuracy in AI-generated responses.
AI chatbots have gained traction across industries due to their ability to provide round-the-clock support and instant responses without human intervention. However, in healthcare, adoption has remained cautious because of the risk of inaccurate outputs—often referred to as AI “hallucinations”—which can lead to the spread of misleading medical information.
To tackle this issue, the newly released chatbot service integrates Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology with curated response datasets created by professional medical writers. This combination enables the system to retrieve verified information and generate answers designed to minimize inaccuracies while maintaining conversational flexibility.

According to the Tokyo-based company, the platform’s algorithm prioritizes accuracy and contextual relevance, allowing users to receive appropriate responses to medical-related inquiries while reducing the risk of misinformation.
As of March 12, 2026, the JOLS Medical AI Chatbot Service has already been adopted by a health technology company, marking its first deployment in the market. JOLS said the service is intended to support organizations seeking reliable AI-driven communication tools for healthcare information delivery.
