iRidge Inc. announced that it has resolved to enter into a capital and business agreement with Hakuhodo Inc. with the aim of expanding collaboration toward transforming the demand chain and customer touchpoints, and to issue new shares through a third-party allotment to Hakuhodo.
At the same time, we have decided to establish a joint venture company that will carry out transformational work on the demand chain and customer touchpoints, focusing on app development.
Accelerating demand chain transformation
With the spread of digital transformation (DX), companies’ needs for optimizing their supply chains have come full circle and are now reaching maturity. In this context, Hakuhodo, which claims to provide consumer value design, is promoting “demand chain transformation” that utilizes various data generated from consumer touchpoints to realize agile decision-making in all aspects of corporate activities. The new company will combine Hakuhodo’s creativity in designing all consumer touchpoints with iRidge’s project management and development capabilities in carrying out large-scale app development to develop a variety of owned touchpoints such as apps. This will generate a variety of consumer data, and this consumer data platform will further increase the value of a wide range of customer touchpoints (store sales, advertising and promotion, CRM, and after-sales service), accelerating demand chain transformation.
The app development market is still on a growth trajectory, and is expected to continue to expand in the future due to the rise of new technologies such as AI. In addition, because apps are a base for accumulating consumer data, there are attractive peripheral markets, including CRM and various system development and data utilization.
In response to this market environment, Hakuhodo has been offering programs to support the concept (assessment and service design), development (PoC and PMO promotion), and growth in the owned development field, mainly for corporate apps.
