QREATION Inc. has raised 1 billion yen in Series A funding through a third-party allotment of new shares, with JAFCO Group Co., Ltd. as the lead investor. This is the company’s first equity financing, and will accelerate IP development and business expansion with an eye on the global market.
QREATION is a “digital IP studio” that produces numerous hit content originating from social media, including the highest quality short dramas, comedy sketches, and variety shows.
Representative works include the short comedy series “Today is Another Desperate Situation,” which has been viewed over 1.8 billion times on social media, the short drama “Always the Ultimate Choice” featuring a star-studded cast, the short variety show “Chokotto Perchy” which is hugely popular among Gen Z, and the short romance drama “Tokimeki Zukan.”

With these IP contents at the forefront, the brand has been viewed billions of times annually, primarily on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms, and is growing as one of Japan’s top digital IP brands.
This round of funding was undertaken with the aim of “expanding digital IP with a global perspective ,” in line with QREATION‘s vision of “bringing together the talents of creators to create a new media industry.”
New “Digital IP Division” to be established in October
Until now, the company has focused on short vertical content, but in October 2025, it will establish a new “Digital IP Business Division” headed by Director Kazuaki Hashimoto, and will focus on developing medium- to long-length horizontal content, including YouTube, in addition to short vertical content. In collaboration with companies and talent agencies, it will fully promote IP development with the aim of expanding overseas. It will excite people all over the world through digital IP such as Japanese dramas, skits, and variety shows.
