To coincide with the launch of “TikTok Shop,” the company will begin comprehensive collaboration in providing store opening and sales support to domestic and international brands and manufacturers.
TikTok has evolved into a platform that guides users from just “watching” to “buying.” In particular, “TikTok Shop,” which allows users to complete the entire process from watching short videos to making purchases within the app, has attracted attention worldwide as an e-commerce function that is completed through short videos and live streaming, and has already achieved success in Southeast Asia, the United States, and China.
In the Japanese market, too, there is a growing possibility that it will become a new channel for companies to expand their D2C and brand e-commerce businesses, particularly as a means of reaching users from Generation Z to millennials.
