Media Links Inc., in collaboration with SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation and Seiko Solutions Inc., has conducted high-precision PTP synchronous transmission of broadcast signals over a long-distance Ethernet line (between Tokyo and Kagoshima) using our product MDP3020 SFN. Synchronous transmission of broadcast signals over such long-distance Ethernet was previously thought to be impossible, but the practical application of this system has made it possible to transmit broadcast signals over IP lines, which is expected to improve the efficiency of signal transmission for terrestrial digital broadcasting in the future.
