三菱電機、高電圧パワーモジュールを発売

Mitsubishi Electric is getting ready to release two new HVIGBT modules in its XB Series. These will come in standard isolation at 6.0 kVrms and high isolation at 10.2 kVrms. Both sit in the 4.5 kV and 1,200 A category. They are meant for big inverter systems used in railcars and large industrial machines, especially ones that have to put up with varied outdoor conditions. The modules will be available on December 9 and Mitsubishi plans to show them at Nepcon Japan 2026 and other exhibitions across different regions. The new modules use Mitsubishi’s RFC diode and CSTBT structure. They also use updated designs for electric field relaxation and surface charge control.
