テンソル・エネルギー そして Tokyo Century have signed a comprehensive business partnership agreement focused on grid-connected battery storage in Japan. The partnership will connect real-world operating data from battery storage assets with Tensor Energy’s AI-based platform, Tensor Cloud, to strengthen next-generation energy aggregation.
As grid-connected batteries expand alongside renewable energy adoption, operators need to manage increasingly complex power markets, including JEPX, EPRX and the capacity market. The partnership will use Tokyo Century’s battery storage operations and data to improve Tensor Cloud’s power supply and demand management capabilities, including prediction and charge-discharge control.
Tensor Cloud provides integrated management for renewable energy plants and battery storage systems. Its functions include AI-based power generation and electricity price forecasting, optimized charging and discharging schedules, automatic control, and management spanning development, operations and finance.

Tokyo Century says it and the other company have been working with Tensor Cloud on battery storage since June 2024. So they have roughly a year and some months of direct use. Earlier, the two sides also teamed up on a battery storage project linked to a big solar facility in Arao City, Kumamoto Prefecture. Work on that first effort began in June 2024.
With the new deal, Tokyo Century wants to run the battery assets more efficiently. The goal is to get more value from those assets. It also wants to push forward its aggregation work. Tensor Energy will use operational data to further develop Tensor Cloud as infrastructure for more advanced energy aggregation.
