GMO Internet Group そして Google Cloud are starting an AI promotion project to help companies use AI faster change how they do business and create AI services that work better. This project was announced on October 9 2026. It brings together GMOs internet systems, security, money handling and online shopping abilities with Google Clouds AI, cloud computing and data analysis tools.
The project will focus on four areas: AI agents that handle tasks a shared data system, AI-driven shopping and AI security. GMO plans to give Gemini Enterprise and Google Workspace to about 6,000 workers in Japan. They hope these workers will use and build AI agents to solve business problems.
For handling data the companies will use Google Clouds BigQuery and Looker to create data definitions. This will help AI agents understand and use information better to support business choices. The partnership will also look into AI-driven shopping where AI agents help people find and use services. They will also work on security using tools like Wiz, CodeMender and Mandiant.

GMO wants to be a company that uses a lot of automation by November 30 2027. This project shows a change in how AI’s used. Of just doing small tasks the focus is now on changing entire business processes around AI agents.
For companies, in Japan this project shows how cloud systems, consistent data and AI agents can be used together to make work more efficient and create digital services.
