Cierpa & Company Inc. has announced that it will begin providing its sustainability information disclosure support cloud platform, SmartESG, to Daikin Industries, Ltd. from October 1, 2026. The platform will support Daikin in strengthening its analysis and management of sustainability-related information as the company continues its global operations.
Daikin operates its business globally, combining expertise in air conditioning and chemicals and serving customers in more than 170 countries and regions. Under its group management philosophy of pursuing a prosperous future through the power of people, the company develops products and services designed to address the different needs of countries and regions while supporting healthy and comfortable living environments.
As part of the SmartESG deployment, Cierpa will provide Daikin with the platform’s Database function and Focus analysis function. Using Database, Daikin will consolidate information related to external ESG evaluations within the cloud.
The Focus function will then allow Daikin to analyze trends based on the characteristics of individual ESG evaluation organizations and identify important issues across the company. Daikin will also use Answer Ease, an AI-powered function that generates draft responses, to improve the efficiency of responding to ESG evaluation organizations.
SmartESG is a platform designed to provide end-to-end support for sustainability information management. Its capabilities cover areas ranging from GHG emissions calculation to the collection, aggregation, and analysis of non-financial information, as well as regulatory disclosures under frameworks such as SSBJ and CSRD and responses to evaluation organizations. The platform uses AI to support the automation and enhancement of related business processes.

Since its launch in November 2022, SmartESG has been adopted by more than 100 companies, primarily companies listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market and other large enterprises. As of April 2026, the combined market capitalization of companies using the platform had exceeded ¥300 trillion.
Through the deployment at Daikin, Cierpa aims to further support the company’s sustainability management by helping centralize ESG-related information, analyze evaluation trends, identify cross-organizational priorities, and streamline responses to external evaluation organizations.
Cierpa said it will continue providing SmartESG to help companies further enhance their sustainability management and disclosure processes.
