新日鉄ソリューションズ株式会社 (NSSOL) announced on the 24th that it will provide recipe management and ingredient ordering functions for its cloud-based sales planning support service “Delifit AI” for the prepared food departments of supermarkets. By linking sales plans, production plans, and ingredient ordering, the company says it can comprehensively support planning work related to prepared food sales in stores. “Delifit AI” is a cloud service that helps supermarket prepared food departments solve their problems.
The first function provided is a unique logic that takes into account supply and demand fluctuations due to weather and production capacity, achieving highly accurate customer and demand forecasts, and supporting the creation of sales plans that maximize gross profits while reducing food waste. The recipe management and ingredient ordering functions provided in the second phase will also help solve problems in the prepared food departments of supermarkets. When the ingredients of a prepared food are changed, the headquarters must revise all related recipes, which takes a huge amount of time and effort. However, the recipe management function allows for centralized management of product recipes and ingredient information, reducing the search effort associated with managing on paper or Excel, and streamlining the revision work when ingredients are changed.

In addition, cooking video data linked to product recipes can be stored and easily viewed from a PC or tablet at work. Meanwhile, the ingredient ordering function can automatically calculate the number of ingredients to order in conjunction with the “sales plan that maximizes gross profit” presented by Delifit AI. In addition to the required amount of ingredients and inventory (theoretical inventory or inventory), the order quantity can be automatically calculated taking into account the lead time until delivery and the order lot. The purchaser can place an order based on the calculation results, which makes the ordering process for ingredients more efficient. The created ordering data can also be linked to existing ordering systems.
