ルーツイノベーションとパナソニック、AIプラットフォーム「VisionEdge」を発表

Roots Innovation そして Panasonic R&D Center Singapore have signed a strategic MOU and introduced “Synstream VisionEdge” at SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026. The new hybrid edge AI platform is designed to bring advanced visual AI capabilities to businesses without requiring expensive hardware or large-scale system integration.

Synstream VisionEdge runs AI recognition algorithms on standard edge devices, removing the need for dedicated servers traditionally used for visual data processing. The companies say the platform can cut manual coding work by 90% and reduce operational costs by 50%, making advanced AI automation more accessible for SMEs as well as large enterprises.

A major focus of the platform is security. Using a fully local on-premises computing framework, all visual data processing is completed within local environments instead of the cloud, helping companies reduce risks tied to data leakage and sovereignty concerns.

The platform is expected to support use cases across manufacturing, logistics, smart cities, and commercial real estate through real-time defect detection, workflow monitoring, automated tracking, and spatial analysis.
