Kyushu University of Health and Welfare has established a complete partnership agreement with Techban Co. Ltd. Tokai Branch. The intent is clear. The organization needs to resolve the increasing distance between its technological skills and the actual outcomes in the food and health industries.
The timing is not random. Industries face difficulties in finding personnel who possess both domain knowledge and data expertise because digital transformation is accelerating. The partnership exists to provide assistance at this location.
The university is already moving in that direction. It is launching a Department of Food Environment Data Science in April 2025. The idea is to train students who understand food, health, and data science together. Not in silos.

Techban brings the execution side. The company has years of experience in IT solutions and workforce development. Now it is plugging that into academia.
The collaboration will focus on three things that actually matter. First, hands-on talent development through internships, joint programs, and technical sessions. Second, joint research that blends food and data science, including product development and health-focused solutions. Third, working with local businesses and governments to solve regional problems using this combined approach.
What you are really seeing here is a shift. Education is moving closer to industry needs, and industry is stepping into classrooms. The end goal is simple. Build talent that is usable from day one and create practical innovation where food meets technology.
