Zenko Research Institute Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that the smart nursing platform “SCOP” has acquired the Assistive Technology Information System (TAIS) code. This means that it can be introduced as a product eligible for application for subsidies.
The TAIS code is a management number issued by the Techno-aids Association, a public interest incorporated foundation established with the support of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare for the purpose of researching, developing, evaluating, standardizing and disseminating welfare equipment.
This code is registered in the Techno-aids Association Welfare Equipment Information System (commonly known as the TAIS system), a database that provides comprehensive information on welfare equipment in Japan, and is expected to increase awareness and promote use among local government officials, care service providers and others.

Starting in 2025, a review of the subsidy system for the introduction of ICT and nursing care robot equipment is underway, and a policy has been announced that, in principle, eligible equipment will be required to be registered with TAIS.
In response to this policy, Zenko Research Institute has completed the TAIS registration of “SCOP” at an early stage. We will provide support for the introduction of the system in response to future subsidy systems, and will establish a system that makes it easier and more secure for nursing care facilities considering using the system.
