Fujitsu Japan will begin selling an AI voice input option for its cloud-based electronic medical record system “HOPE LifeMark-TX Simple type” for outpatient clinics starting July 23rd.
This option uses AI to automatically transcribe physician-patient conversations into text, and then automatically converts that text information into SOAP format (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan), one of the mainstream input formats for medical records. This significantly streamlines the process of entering data into electronic medical records, providing physicians with an environment where they can focus on their interactions with patients.
In its “Medical DX Reiwa Vision 2030,” the government proposes that by 2030 at the latest, virtually all medical institutions should be able to implement electronic medical records (EMRs) to share necessary patient medical information. However, the adoption rate of EMRs in clinics remains at only 55%, and many clinics that have not yet implemented EMRs face challenges such as overcoming resistance to IT and learning how to operate them.

こうした課題に対処するためだ、 富士通 Japan has developed a voice input option for its electronic medical record system that utilizes AI technology. This will allow doctors to create medical records efficiently and accurately while significantly reducing the burden of data entry into the electronic medical record system.
Fujitsu Japan will begin offering this option from August 31, 2026, in response to the need for electronic medical record implementation in line with the promotion of the “Medical DX Reiwa Vision 2030.” The company aims to have 100 users adopt the system by the end of March 2028.
