Photraction Inc. whose mission is to “make the world of construction infinitely smarter,” will celebrate its 10th anniversary in March 2026 and will begin offering “Creative Services,” a development partner service specializing in construction tech x AI x design.
This service is a development partner service that provides end-to-end support from planning to design, implementation, and operation, leveraging five technological areas—AI, DATA, OPERATION, UI/UX, and BIM—accumulated through the development and operation of “Photoruction,” one of the largest construction tech services in Japan. Based on domain knowledge of construction work and operational design, we incorporate AI as a business engine, supporting not just the proof of concept (PoC), but also the implementation and establishment of services that are actually used on-site.
Background of Service Provision – Changes in Construction Tech over 10 Years and the Next Phase
Since its founding in 2016, Photraction has been promoting the digitalization of construction sites. Over the past decade, the IT environment in the construction industry has changed dramatically, and the introduction of IT tools has become commonplace.

However, with the rapid evolution of AI, the very foundation of software is changing. We are moving from the phase of “replacing paper with digital” to a phase where AI transforms business operations themselves. In this transformation, general-purpose software alone has its limitations. The challenges faced by companies in the construction industry vary greatly depending on the type of work, construction method, and scale, and software optimized for each company’s business and operations is becoming essential. Furthermore, having products that solve business challenges with technology directly contributes to corporate branding and strengthens recruitment capabilities. In the construction industry, being a “company that can effectively utilize technology” is becoming a differentiating factor that attracts top talent.
On the other hand, securing a team that can design AI, data infrastructure, business operations, UI/UX, and BIM in an integrated manner while having a deep understanding of construction work remains difficult, and the challenge that “it is difficult to develop construction technology in-house” is widespread throughout the industry.
We believe that keeping the construction technology, AI, and design expertise that Photraction has cultivated over the past decade confined to our own products would be a missed opportunity for the entire industry. Therefore, we are proactively opening up these technological assets and making them widely available as a partner to the construction industry, which will accelerate the DX of the entire industry.
