Japan’s infrastructure is getting older, but the workforce responsible for maintaining it is getting smaller. PASCO and AIVALIX believe better use of data can help close that gap. The two companies have signed a basic agreement to jointly develop AI-powered infrastructure management services by combining geospatial technology with artificial intelligence.
The partnership kicks off with joint demonstrations, evaluating accuracy, cost savings, and operational efficiency, before it moves into commercial services for government agencies and private infrastructure operators. PASCO is bringing satellite data, GIS tech, and spatial information analysis, and アイバリクス will build AI models for forecasting infrastructure deterioration, doing anomaly detection, plus diagnostic support.

The bigger aim is to tie fragmented inspection records, maintenance histories, and asset data into one decision-making frame, more or less. As aging infrastructure keeps stressing maintenance programs, and labour shortages do as well, the collaboration also feels like it’s mirroring a bigger push, towards data-driven infrastructure management that should make it possible faster planning, smarter investments, and more efficient long-term operations.
