Digital Wallet Group (DWG) has launched Smiles Mobile Remittance in the United States, extending the Japanese money transfer platform’s reach into North America. This service, already widely used by migrant workers in Japan, is aimed at international remittances with a mobile-first approach that is pretty much designed around security, speed, and straightforward usability
Smiles leans on technologies like AI, and facial recognition to back secure transactions while still providing multilingual customer support, for immigrant and overseas worker communities. The platform also connects with Philippine National Bank (PNB), which helps to fortify its remittance network for overseas Filipino workers, so things run smoother across the whole chain

This rollout seems to mirror a bigger demand for digital cross-border payment options, especially as migrant populations keep rising around the world. With operations across nine countries and an expanding presence in ASEAN markets, デジタルウォレットグループ is essentially positioning itself to cater to international workers who want more accessible and quicker ways to send money across borders, all without the usual hassle.
