ArcEdge Space and ABIT Co., Ltd. have signed an MoU to push satellite-based IoT solutions into global markets and co-develop communication equipment.
ArcEdge has already deployed 18 satellites, many built for low-power, long-range IoT communication. These systems are designed for areas where traditional networks do not work. Past demos have shown two-way satellite communication and real-time message transmission across countries, proving the tech works in live conditions.
The core play is simple. The system uses satellite Internet of Things technology to gather data from remote ocean and rural area and logistics route locations without using cellular network connections. The system combines collected data with satellite images to enhance visibility and risk assessment and decision-making processes.

But satellite alone is not enough. Ground infrastructure is the missing piece. ABIT brings experience in building and deploying IoT terminals for use cases like remote metering and disaster prevention.
Together, they are building a full-stack system that covers both satellite and ground layers. They will also co-develop communication equipment to improve performance and scale. This move fits into a larger shift where IoT is expanding beyond urban networks into global, infrastructure-light environments.
