SoftBank has officially launched AGENTIC STAR, a next-generation AI agent platform designed to shift enterprise AI from traditional copilots to fully autonomous execution. Announced on December 11, the service enables AI agents to independently interpret tasks, set goals, and take action, paving the way for large-scale business transformation.
Delivered as a secure SaaS accessible through a browser, AGENTIC STAR integrates AI agent functions, management tools, and enterprise-grade security. Unlike conventional generative AI, which relies on back-and-forth prompts, AGENTIC STAR focuses on non-routine, open-ended work, enabling companies to automate workflows that previously required human judgment.
The platform includes pre-built autonomous agents and supports multiple LLMs, dynamically selecting the best model for each task, whether text, image, or video. It also supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing seamless two-way integration with existing business systems. Over time, the agents learn user preferences, improving output accuracy through long- and short-term memory.

Early demonstrations showcased automated BI tool creation, investor relations reporting, and code generation. Pricing remains undisclosed, though SoftBank says the service will be “lower than market price,” with no initial fees. AGENTIC STAR targets organizations of all sizes aiming to enhance efficiency, boost customer experience, and drive revenue through autonomous AI.
