KDDI Corporation has introduced the “KDDI Conata Data Agent,” an AI-powered tool designed to improve the efficiency of internal document searches and analysis in a secure environment. Developed in partnership with Flywheel Corporation, the solution integrates generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technologies with KDDI株式会社’s private network service, “Wide Area Virtual Switch 2.”
The system lets employees ask about company data using natural language. AI then finds and generates answers from documents, PDFs, and tables. This method removes the need to organize or upload data manually. So, it cuts down the time spent searching and gathering information. A pilot program started in late 2024 cut weekly workloads by 30%. This included tasks like information searches, analysis, and document creation. As a result, productivity improved in customer analysis and proposal development.
Two subscription plans are available: the Document Search Plan, which focuses on searching files in platforms like SharePoint Online or Google Drive, and the more advanced Cross-Search Plan, which adds support for table data, in-house terminology dictionaries, and network security features.
