Riedel Communications announced significant expansions to its SimplyLive live production portfolio, introducing new solutions and enhancements that increase adaptability, scalability, and integration across broadcast, sports, and live event workflows. This includes a new Flex licensing program for the SimplyLive Production Suite, the introduction of the RiView video review system, expansion of RiMotion replay and Venue Gateway contribution services, and the SimplyLive Connect API for seamless third-party integration.
With the SimplyLive Production Suite’s Flex licensing scheme, Riedel helps users customize their production environment to meet their operational and financial needs, whether on-premise, remote, or cloud-based. Users can choose from a variety of hardware options and deployment models, from upfront purchase to pay-as-you-go and hybrid models, to suit their unique production goals and budget strategies.
Expanding on its acclaimed RefBox software solution designed for officiating, coaching, and analytical workflows, Riedel has introduced the new SimplyLive RiView bundle. RiView packages the powerful RefBox solution into a cost-effective bundle to address a wide range of video review needs. The RiView lineup includes the RV4, RV8, and RV16, offering configurations of 4 to 16 HD inputs with synchronized multi-angle control, an intuitive touchscreen-based interface, and seamless remote operation capabilities. Multiple RiView systems can also be easily networked to accommodate larger review requirements. All models feature pinch-and-zoom functionality and super slow-motion (SSM) camera support, making them versatile for officiating, coaching, and broadcast applications.

Riedel further enhances its acclaimed SimplyLive RiMotion live replay solutions with the launch of the RiMotion R16 and R166. The RiMotion R16 bundles up to 16 HD channels, while the R166 offers up to 16 HD channels or 6 UHD channels. With advanced networking capabilities, expanded operator configurations, SSM support, and seamless integration with a touchscreen UI and dedicated replay controller, the RiMotion R16 and R166 continue to push the boundaries of live sports and event production.
The Venue Gateway series, a highly reliable solution for seamless signal transmission and multi-channel distribution, has received a major update with the introduction of the Venue Gateway 8 Standard, 8 Advanced, and 1612 Advanced. The Standard model is a compact entry-level solution with eight bi-directional SDI channels, while the Advanced version introduces higher bit-depth encoding, more flexible networking, and support for HDR workflows. The 1612 Advanced is the most powerful option, offering 16 bi-directional SDI channels, expanded tally integration, and enhanced audio processing, making it ideal for large-scale productions.
Rounding out the announcement, the newly released SimplyLive Connect REST API enables seamless integration with external broadcast control systems, allowing teams to monitor, manage, and configure SimplyLive products as part of a unified production environment. Designed for modern deployments on COTS hardware or public/private cloud infrastructures, the API improves interoperability, making production infrastructure smarter, more connected, and fully prepared for the needs of future distributed workflows.
