SCSK Security Corporation announced its first collaboration in Japan with Palo Alto Networks’ threat intelligence and cybersecurity specialist team, Unit 42. Through this collaboration, SCSK Security will provide Japanese companies with an advanced approach called “Threat-Informed Defense,” which takes proactive, preventative, and strategic security measures rather than the traditional reactive approach. Palo Alto Networks’ Unit 42 provides comprehensive threat intelligence and incident response services. By utilizing this knowledge, SCSK Security will implement “Threat-Informed Defense” security measures that detect attacks before they occur and respond quickly and appropriately. SCSK Security will obtain Palo Alto Networks’ Cyber Risk Management Proficiency certification in April 2025 and will sell Unit 42’s services as the only official certified partner in Japan. Furthermore, SCSK Security will provide advanced services utilizing Unit 42 to SCSK Security’s retainer service contract customers.
Through this collaboration, SCSK Security will utilize information on the latest overseas threat trends and attack methods in its customers’ security measures, promoting a “threat-driven defense” approach and shortening incident response times. By combining Unit42’s expertise with the practical know-how gained from operating a CSIRT at a global company, SCSK Security will provide a system with excellent predictive and initial response capabilities, minimizing the scope of damage when an incident occurs and improving business continuity. Furthermore, by incorporating Unit42’s threat analysis capabilities in addition to its track record of support in security assessments and vulnerability diagnosis, SCSK Security will be able to provide even more accurate risk assessments and strategic proposals. The collaboration aims to effectively allocate limited security budgets, improve security maturity, and evolve into a service that supports management decision-making.
