LiLz Inc., a provider of IoT and AI solutions for remote inspections, has agreed to a capital and business alliance with JR East Startup Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of JR East that promotes investment in and collaboration with venture companies, with the aim of realizing advanced and labor-saving equipment inspections at railways, stations, and related facilities owned by the JR East Group.
Background and purpose of the capital and business alliance
Lilz provides remote inspection solutions that combine fully wireless IoT cameras, requiring no power or network installation, with cloud-based AI analysis. These low-power IoT cameras enable long-term remote monitoring even in environments with limited power and communication resources, contributing to advanced facility management across a wide range of sectors, including infrastructure, manufacturing, and energy. With the slogan, “That extra space transforms the workplace,” Lilz offers solutions that are easy for field workers to implement.
We have agreed to a capital and business alliance with JR East Startup to jointly promote further sophistication and labor-saving in equipment inspection operations at JR East Group’s railways, stations, and related facilities. Through this alliance, Lil’s will strengthen its collaborative base with the JR East Group and accelerate the deployment of solutions in the large-scale infrastructure sector.

Through this partnership, Lilz will promote demonstration and implementation in diverse field environments within the JR East Group, and work to solve challenges in the maintenance and management of social infrastructure, including railway infrastructure. Furthermore, leveraging the knowledge gained from this collaboration, we aim to further promote the remote and automated inspection of equipment, with a view to expanding to other large-scale infrastructure operators.
