Rigaku has opened that Rigaku Solutions Center Osaka, it’s kind of new training place, focused on semiconductor metrology systems and also on customer support worldwide. Honestly it sounds like they put all the field service training in one spot, because the demand keeps going up for engineers with a very high level of skill, people who can keep increasingly complex chip manufacturing equipment working.
This launch is happening as semiconductor production moves toward smaller nodes, and even more stacked 3D designs, so the expectations become higher for measurement precision, and for system uptime. The center is equipped with a cleanroom and live systems too, so engineers can practice maintenance, calibration, repairs and troubleshooting in setups that feel pretty close to what customers actually face, day to day.

Rigaku Corporation also plans to broaden the program as semiconductor demand keeps growing.
