SUPER FORMULA cars are equipped with onboard cameras that deliver the thrill of the race to fans, and the footage is streamed via SFgo. Filming with onboard cameras requires recording media that can reliably record even under extremely harsh conditions, such as the intense vibrations and shocks caused by speeds reaching up to 300 km/h, as well as the scorching heat from direct sunlight and engine heat.
For this project, the “NX-M2SE series,” which offers high-speed and stable writing performance, was selected as the recording medium. In addition, both companies will continue to conduct field tests using microSDXC memory cards in actual racing environments to collect durability data under harsh conditions such as vibration, shock, and heat. The knowledge gained from these tests will be utilized in Nextorage‘s product development.
