McFarlane Lake Mining Limited has released an updated Mineral Resource Estimate for its Juby Gold Project in Ontario, Canada. The update provides a look at the gold resources at the Juby Gold Project and extends the company’s exploration plans.
The new technical report, prepared in line with NI 43-101 standards shows 1.07 million ounces of indicated gold resources. These are contained in 34.68 million tonnes of ore. Have an average grade of 0.96 grams per tonne. In addition the report identifies 5.09 million ounces of inferred gold resources across 183.05 million tonnes with a grade of 0.87 grams per tonne.
This update makes small changes to the earlier resource estimate from August. The inferred resources rose by 30,000 ounces while the indicated resources dropped by roughly 70,000 ounces. Compared to the technical report dated September 29 2025 the company now reports a 61% rise in inferred resources and a 6% increase in indicated resources.
Together the updated estimate totals about 6.16 million ounces of gold in both the indicated and inferred categories. The resource is shaped by both pit and underground boundaries. In August McFarlane used a long-term gold price assumption of US$3,600 per ounce. The cut-off grades were set at 0.25 grams per tonne for pit and 1.60 grams per tonne for underground. The company also reported a metallurgical recovery rate of about 92%.
It is important to note that mineral resources are not the same as mineral reserves. The current classification does not prove that the project is economically viable. Technical and economic studies must be completed before any development decision can be made.
The Juby Gold Project is located near Gowganda in Ontario’s Abitibi Greenstone Belt, a known area, for gold production. McFarlane owns 100% of the project.
Exploration Program Extended Through 2029
McFarlane announced that it has received a drilling permit that extends its planned drilling program through August 2029. This extension allows the company to continue its exploration efforts for a period. The company is also adding two drills to the program in October. This extended timeline gives McFarlane time and flexibility to test different areas of the Juby property. The goal is to gain an understanding of the mineralized system and potentially uncover more valuable information.
Drilling and resource-definition work are key at this stage. A large part of the project’s gold inventory is still classified as inferred. Additional drilling could help gather the data needed to upgrade these resources to a category. However any such upgrade will depend entirely on the results from the exploration work.
Technical Report Provides Independent Resource Update
The updated Juby resource estimate was prepared by BBA E&C Inc. The technical work was conducted in accordance with the NI 43-101 framework, which’s standard for Canadian mineral projects. The August resource estimate was independently prepared by Todd McCracken, P.Geo. of BBA E&C.
Having a technical report offers a reliable and standardized way for investors and stakeholders to evaluate the project’s resource estimates. It adds transparency and credibility to the company’s disclosures.
McFarlane’s latest filing follows its August resource update. That update had increased the project’s indicated and inferred gold resources compared to the estimate. The current filing mainly reflects the technical report and a minor adjustment to the numbers. It does not represent a discovery or a major change, in the projects resource potential.
What the Update Means for Juby Development
The updated estimate gives McFarlane a current technical basis for advancing exploration and future development studies at Juby.
The company says it plans to continue exploration drilling and other study work as it evaluates the property. Its broader Ontario portfolio also includes the producing McMillan Gold Mine and Mongowin properties as well as the Michaud/Munro properties.

For the mining industry the Juby update illustrates the progression from exploration results toward defined mineral resources. Increasing geological confidence can support engineering, metallurgical, environmental and economic assessments although each stage requires additional work.
At present Juby remains a resource-definition and development-stage gold project, than an operating mine. The next steps will include continued drilling, technical studies and further evaluation of the projects economics.
The extended drilling permit and additional drilling capacity indicate that McFarlane intends to continue expanding its understanding of Juby while working from the newly filed resource estimate.
