Overview of “Plate Check Designer”
“Plate Check Designer” is a system developed for food and cosmetics manufacturers that automates the matching of manuscripts and plates in the packaging manufacturing process.
By automating the text comparison between the manuscript (text information) and the design copy, as well as the image comparison between the design copy and the final copy, it helps reduce the risk of product recall due to typos, omissions, and missed checks for extraneous characters, and helps reduce the workload.In addition to having two main functions, text comparison and image comparison , it also has a workflow that allows you to manage progress, which helps prevent oversights in work.

Background of the enhancements
Previously, the text comparison function in the “Layer Check Designer” only worked if the text information remained when the design data was converted to PDF.
However, we have heard many comments from food and cosmetics manufacturers who actually use our service saying, “I want to be able to compare text using PDFs that have been outlined (text information converted into graphics),” which has been an issue.
In response to this demand, we have introduced AI-OCR technology as an optional feature, which makes it possible to recognize outlined characters, significantly expanding the range of support for the text comparison function.
