Prodrone Inc. is pleased to announce that Kirix Lease Co., Ltd., a core company of the Kirix Group, has acquired exclusive sales rights for the agricultural drone helicopter “Tasketto,” which it developed, and will begin sales on June 3, 2025. In addition, Prodrone has issued a third-party allotment of new shares to the Kirix Group.
“Tasketto” is an aircraft developed to optimize the agricultural environment in Japan, based on the industrial drone “Prodrone GT-M” developed by Prodrone for use in harsh situations such as disasters and defense. While battery-powered drones are the mainstream in the domestic drone market, issues such as the hassle of charging, battery deterioration, and rising costs of introducing chargers have become apparent. In response to these issues, “Tasketto” is powered by a gasoline engine, allowing for continuous work and allowing for quick resumption of work by refueling.
In addition, considering the frequent movement of vehicles in Japanese agriculture and the limited loading space, we pursued a lightweight design that can be carried by one person (aircraft weight 7.5 kg) and a compact size that can be loaded into a passenger car or light truck (total length 1,570 mm when propellers are folded). This makes it extremely convenient for Japanese farmers who move between multiple fields. It can carry up to 8 liters of pesticide, and if the pesticide is diluted 8 times, it can be sprayed over 1 hectare in one flight.

By applying the industrial drone development technology and know-how that Prodrone has cultivated to date to “Tasketto” and expanding the business with Kirix Lease’s sales power, we are confident that this machine will contribute to improving agricultural productivity and realizing sustainable agriculture in Japan.
